Nu‑soul with pop, and with purpose. – SAGE BAVA does something with jazz. In her own way. Larry Klein as producer, plus Braxton Cook, Christian McBride, and Dean Parks in the wings. Not an easy undertaking, but absolutely worthwhile. Klein‑typical Americana influences blend with artfully shaped jazz—always emotional, always seemingly heavy with meaning. Wild Is The Wind applies just as much to In Whose Eyes (II). – A bit more relaxed, NAO greets us with Eugene. New to us, though her bio says she’s been in the game for a long time.
